Millena Brandao was a nurse who lived in the city of Lati, Pernambuco, Brazil. In December 2019, she began dating a man who lived in Osasco. She stayed with him there for a few months before returning to her hometown, never expecting what would come next.

Welcoming Her Baby amid Cheating Accusations
By the time Millena returned in June 2021, she was six months pregnant. But she was flabbergasted and heartbroken when she shared the news with her partner.
Instead of congratulating her and sharing her joy, he had a surprising response—one that shattered Millena to the core. Much to her dismay, her boyfriend accused her of cheating on him and declined to provide for the baby because he didn’t think he was the father. The man reportedly refused to do anything until he was sure the child was his.
Thus, Millena gave birth to her baby boy, Otto, on September 21, 2021, in a hospital in Garanhuns, located in a town close to Lati, without a father present.
Facing Humiliation
Otto was Millena’s second child, as she had another five-year-old boy from a nine-year-long marriage. Soon after her younger son’s birth, his paternity became the talk of their small town, which caused Millena sheer discomfort and humiliation.
Although Millena contacted her boyfriend to tell him about Otto’s birth, he didn’t show up. When several months passed and the man didn’t arrive, his absence from the scene gave rise to more gossip.
Utterly exhausted by the rumor mill and locals mocking her son, saying he didn’t have a father, Millena knew she had to do something. She could neither endure him rejecting her baby nor have strangers ridiculing her little boy.
Fueling the Rumors
Eventually, Millena’s partner came to Pernambuco to take a DNA test in January 2022. A Brazilian publication reported that the test results arrived 40 days later, but Millena declined to make them public.
Millena’s decision to hide the report fueled the rumors further, and neighbors openly criticized her. Her refusal to share the results gave rise to more speculation, making it apparent that she had lied to her boyfriend about the baby boy being his.
Then Millena took a friend’s suggestion and decided to declare the DNA test results through a party. Like a gender reveal party for pregnant women, the Brazilian woman held a paternity reveal celebration.
An Unusual Party
Taking to her Instagram, the then-26-year-old Millena posted a video where she was dressed in black and held her sleeping son in her arms. She was surrounded by silver and blue balloons and a blue cake with question marks placed on top.
Millena also held a pin in her hands, which she would use to pop the silver balloon and unravel the mystery. But before she popped the balloon, the mom-of-two decided to tell everyone the reason for organizing the strange party. She explained:
“Otto’s father asked for a DNA test, and I decided to have a party. If the result is positive, the confetti will be silver. If it is negative, it will be blue.”
Soon afterward, Millena burst the balloon, and silver confetti came out, covering her and little Otto. Alongside the videos, the mother also posted a picture of the DNA report, with a 99.9% possibility of paternity.

Since being shared in March 2021, Millena’s video has become a viral sensation, amassing comments from netizens far and wide. In January 2022, she decided to sue her son’s father in court and talked to her lawyer to file a claim for child support.
The young mother noted that she had not received any help from Otto’s dad since his birth. She said her son had basic needs like clothing and diapers, and she would continue to fight for his rights.
Millena held the paternity reveal party because she was tired of being humiliated and wished to shut the rumors. She stated that she couldn’t take rejection from her son’s dad and wanted him to have his answers too.
